Summary

Some ways that I could use technology is with lights. My conservatory is theater. I need lights to show my face, To show off my expressions, and also to set the mood of my character.

Another way that I would use technology for theater would be special effects. In theater you talk but you need special effects to not only make it real for the actor but for the audience. It also makes things more interesting to watch. As an audience member you wouldn’t expect things especially if you don’t know anything about the play.

My third and final way I would use technology for theater would be computers to advertise my play. I would use computer to shout myself out on big social networks such as Facebook. Also use Facebook to create events for people to come and see it. Also make flyers to pass to people to come and see it.

Predictions

When it comes to predictions about technology I have 2.

My first prediction is that we’re going to have all voice activated technology. For example when you’re driving all you have to do is give the address and the car will do all the driving w/out us moving a finger. Also with voice we can ask the computer to turn to a channel, turn up the volume or turn it down. This is one of my predictions.

     My second prediction is that we’re going to create robots. The world is already becoming lazy and we’re going to reach a point where we don’t want to lift a finger and create robots and they’re going to take over like on I-Robot!

Saftey and Security

There are a lot of security and safety risk with technology. One as an example are computers. Computers have the most security and safety risks than any other technical device. Some security risks are hacking and viruses. Some people spend their precious time trying to hack into big website information. So if you decide to make a website look out for hackers because their everywhere. Viruses such as worms and the Trojan horse are things to look out for when you go to illegal sites or download illegal things. Some things to help get rid of viruses can be Norton Anti-Virus or McAfee.

There are some safety risks as well. Some safety risk include cyber-bullying. You can cyber-bully someone and think it’s playful but it still hurts. Calling somebody ugly or fat or whatever can be known as cyber-bullying which can be a safety risk. Another one is when  people  put all of their information on their  social networking profiles like Facebook. Putting all of your information on the internet can get your information taken for identity theft. So putting all of your information out there isn’t such a good idea.

THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IS TO BENFIT US BY EDUCATING AND ENTERTAINING HUMANS. THE WAY TECHNOLOGY EDUCATES US IS BY HELPING US DISCOVER NEW THINGS. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU’RE INTERSTED IN SOMETHING LIKE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY HELPS YOU LOOK AT THINGS INVOLVED IN SCIENCE. ANOTHER ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IS TO ENTERTAIN US. THE WAY TECHNOLOGY ENTERTAINS US, IS BY GIVING US THINGS THAT WE TAKE INTEREST IN. AN EXAMPLE OF BOTH IS TELEVISION. TELEVISION EDUCATES US BY GIVING US CHANNELS LIKE THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL, THE HISTORY CHANNEL, ABC, WGN, CHANNELS THAT HELP US LEARN. IT ALSO ENTERTAIN US BY GIVING US THINGS LIKE MTV, COMEDY CENTRAL, BET, DISNEY CHANNEL, CARTOON NETWORK, TEEN NICK, CHANNELS THAT CATCH OUR EYE THAT MAKES US LAUGH, AND CRY. TECHNOLOGY IS MADE FOR HUMANS, FOR OUR BENEFITS.

About Me

My name is Raven Sims. I was born in Chicago, Illinois. I’m a very fun and energetic person. My conservatory is theater. I’m a junior and I attend Chicago high school for the arts. Theater is a passion of mine that I have had ever since I was in 1^st grade. I’ve been doing a lot of plays. For example, the plays I have done are: The Wizard Of Oz, I’ve done Oz. I’ve done Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Ever since I started attending Chi-arts the plays I have been working on is Twilight: Los Angeles, Glass Menagerie, and Raisin in the Sun. I love to work with people and i'm a friendly person.
